I like this quote that Marie Constance posted on her Instagram. At times, we do forget to be gentle with ourselves. I can be pretty rough on myself. I always want to do better. I always want to improve. If it’s not perfect, I contemplate on it, “how I could have improved.” When it comes to grades, even an A- minus bothers me because that means I lacked something, and I need to improve it. Period. I’ve said this before: I despise the phrase, “At least you tried.” I don’t want to try; I want it perfect. But life isn’t perfect. And I have to learn to accept that trying is better than not trying at all. So “be gentle with yourself.”
This quote so true! When we are comfortable with certain environments, situations, or anything at all, I feel we don’t challenge ourselves enough. And as I said in the previous quote, it’s better to try than not to. Comfortableness can become a bit monotonous. So stepping out of our comfort zone will help us grow. What if we learn/discover something new that we didn’t now about ourselves? You never know. If you fail at it, at least you tried. 🙂 hahaha
Well, this quote is self-explanatory. But God knows how many times I’ve said, “tomorrow.” But when I do things now, I feel so much more accomplished. Any break I take, I feel like I deserve it. And we never know if tomorrow will come. Let’s pray to God it does! But we never know. So get it done today! Whatever that may be, exercising, writing, or even doing your laundry. 🙂
