Once again, I didn’t post my favorite song of the week on my usual Friday. I caught the flu, and I didn’t feel well until right now at night. But I’m doing better now.
At any rate, my favorite song of the week is “Find You,” by Nick Jonas, and I also love the video. It’s a simple video, but it looks like a spiritual video, this sense of loss and finding at the same time. The song is a soft pop/house with an upbeat tempo. In an interview on the Ellen Degeneres Show, Nick said the song was about finding oneself. Of course, Ellen didn’t believe Nick because it seems obvious the song is about a person. Still, I liked Nick’s response on finding the self.
The world is so loud, especially nowadays. So many political and religious debates can get a mind overwhelmed. Plus, not to mention all the natural disasters. And we have to add the personal struggles. The world can be a stressful place. However, I don’t know why but “Find you” calms me down when I listen to it. Could it be my crush on Nick? Maybe. Just kidding, it’s not just about Nick’s hotness. The song is actually pretty good. One of his best songs in my opinion.
In the video, Nick is on this spiritual quest or on the hunt for true love–perhaps both. I feel like I’m on a spiritual quest myself, and I hope I find the answer or find myself at the end of it. Sometimes a journey gets a little rocky, and that’s okay even though it doesn’t seem like it.
I’ll end up with the following: While walking in the desert one might confuse a mirage for water, that illusion helps to appreciate real water to quench the thirst, to refresh the soul.
Below, I will post the video and lyrics. I hope you like it. One last thing, my favorite part of the song is verse 2.

[Verse 1]
I look for you in the center of the sun
I took a pill but it didn’t help me numb
I see your face even when my eyes are shut
But I never really know just where to find you
I chase the words that keep falling out your mouth
You got a logic I’ll never figure out
If I could hold you then I’d never put you down
But I never really know just where to find you
[Chorus]
Where to find you
Where to find you
But I never really know just where to find you
Try, try, try, but I-
Try, try, try, but I, but I-
Try, try, try, but I-
But I never really know just where to find you
[Verse 2]
You think you know how to get under my skin
It’s good for now but it’s never permanent
Knock on the door but there’s no one listening
And I never really know just where to find you
You look for love but you never really try
You say it’s not but it’s always on your mind
Keep chasing gold but you lose a silver line
But I never really know just where to find you
[Chorus]
Where to find you
Where to find you
But I never really know just where to find you
Try, try, try, but I-
Try, try, try, but I, but I-
Try, try, try, but I-
But I never really know just where to find you
[Bridge]
Maybe I’m chasing a feeling
Maybe I don’t even need it
Maybe you’re looking for me tonight, tonight
I look for you in the center of the sun
I took a pill but it didn’t help me numb
I see your face even when my eyes are shut
But I never really know just where to find you
[Chorus]
Where to find you
Where to find you
But I never really know just where to find you
Try, try, try, but I-
Try, try, try, but I, but I-
Try, try, try, but I-
But I never really know just where to find you
