Youth makes me laugh.
They think their drugs are new.
It’s been done, kid.
They think their rebellion is legit.
It’s been done, kid.
Their “I don’t care,” “whatever,” and
“I block the world,” are circus stunts.
It’s been done, kid.
You’re entertaining the audience, the people—
Who’ve been there and done that.
Your trickery and lies fool no one, kid.
They’ve just been there and done that.
Your mockery is all you got.
It’s funny, right?
You’re a monkey in a circus outfit.
You’re just entertaining the audience.
If you sat with the audience…
Now, that has been done.
But rarely done.
I wish I weren’t either one.
