As I stand in the middle of a windstorm blocking my visibility, everything is uncertain. The mockers in the back of my mind in their gowns & tuxes applaud my performance. The wind tosses me from one side to another.
But I’ve learned not to fight the wind. The mockeries are part of a dissonant harmony that I can dance to in my routine. I sway from side to side, eyes shut. I whirl slowing down my breath. Ball, change, hold, and down.
They don’t know I have a director & choreographer, guiding me to be the leading star of this performance. Ball, change, hold, and down. Repeat.
