What Are You Doing To Stay Motivated in 2020?

Hello, everyone. This is Ana writing a blog after months, but I will try to keep this short. It’s been a rough year on a personal, local, national, and global level. I’m sure this year has been a tough one for you too, and we’re all in the same boat. There are so many controversial issues in America that I am not going to touch on them.

For me, I also hear about how terrible things are back in my parent’s country. It’s a lot to take in, and I haven’t had motivation to write in my blog for the very same reason. I keep thinking, What can I add to the conversation? What can I suggest or advise? Me. I don’t know.

I won’t go into any personal struggles at this moment, but this year has been extremely challenging. All I can say is that I hope you’re hanging in there. Try to keep an exercising schedule, eat healthier, take your supplements, and find a hobby to help you mentally and physically. For example, I confide in reading the Bible and prayer. It has helped me to stay collected and overcome many things in my mind and life.

I had a few plans this year, but none of them were executed as planned. And that’s hugely frustrating for me. But I’ve learned to forgive myself a bit more because people aren’t as forgiving. They want results. They don’t want to hear about the struggles.

So that’s my other piece of advice, be considerate and forgiving to yourself because your health, spiritual, and mental state come first. If we can polish these, then we can overcome much. That’s where I am at, at this moment. I have even stalled my writing plans. But I will jump back on it soon! I hope you have a wonderful December and end of the year.

Be kind to yourself first so that you may be kind to others too.

What are you doing to stay motivated during this pandemic issue? Let me know.

  1. I have found it helpful to focus more on what I CAN do rather than what I can’t. We are given so many restrictions, new rules, changing rules, bombarded with negativity. But life can still be lived. I am focusing on my writing and connecting with new people.

    1. I like that, doing what you can instead of what you can’t. At times, we feel that focusing on the “can’t’s” makes us feel as if we’re overcoming obstacles, which is something I fully support. But at times, I think we need those “I can” things and moments in our life. Thank you for sharing your insights, by the way. 🙂
